My ex military father is always seeking out German restaurants having done three tours in Germany. Saw Schnitzelbank billboard driving from MO to KY to visit so we decided on a short road trip to try. Loved everything about it! The building, music outside, gift shop inside, the food, the themed attire the wait staff wears, the decor. I was unsure about the red wine gravy in the Goulash so they gave me a sample. How thoughtful! Ordered it without regret. Happy Fraulein! Oh...they even have a penny machine. I happen to collect them so was super thrilled to have a souvenir! Bonus - my dad left happy, too. Great food and service in a heavy German themed atmosphere. Great stop for the family. The pretzel bun on my bratwurst sandwich was out of this world. My son loved his goulash.

“This place was so good! You can definitely split an entree. The food is great! We got a pretzel for an appetizer which 4+ could've easily split. It came with beer cheese which was excellent. My fiancé and I split a platter which came with three different meats and 2 sides. I got the salad bar. I was very impressed with that. They had a girl completely working at the salad bar. She was restocking  everything. She was also cleaning and keeping it organized. There were lots of options on the salad bar. This was my first time here. I'll definitely be back!!”

Surprise in a small city.

We stopped for dinner and were amazed that a city this size could have a restaurant of this quality. The atmosphere and service were wonderful and the food fantastic. We ordered the sampler for two and had enough food for several more people. We highly recommend and urge visitors to not miss this experience. The red cabbage and casserole were especially outstanding.
